Vocational Discernment Opportunities

Women who feel they may be called to live as a Sister of Divine Providence and wish to explore this vocation, are invited to contact Sister Elena Almendárez at any time to arrange for a visit. Upcoming programming for vocation discernment, as well as opportunities to volunteer with the Sisters, is listed below and updated regularly.

The Sisters of Divine Providence invite you to join with us and learn what it means to be a Woman of Providence. We offer programming for women interested in exploring what it means to be a vowed Sister or an Associate through prayer, service, providence theology, and discernment. Think about answering the question for yourself . . . what does it mean to be a Woman of Providence?

Come and See Weekends

Learn about the life of a vowed religious Sister embracing the Providence charism. Find out about the process of becoming a Sister; meet Sisters who live the life every day, sharing prayer, community and ministry. Come pray, share your story, and learn how others felt drawn to become Sisters of Divine Providence. Contact Sister Elena if you are interested in a Come and See Weekend.

Sunday Liturgy and Brunch:
Every Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Providence Heights, Pittsburgh. Join the Providence Community for Sunday morning Mass and brunch. Open to anyone who is searching for a worshipping community, we invite you to continue the sharing by joining us for brunch in the Sisters' dining room. Contact Sister Elena for details or to reserve your place with us.
