Memorial and tribute gifts afford an opportunity to invest in the future of the good works of the Sisters of Divine Providence while honoring or remembering a loved one.

Providence Prayer Enrollment

Donations may be made to the Sisters of Divine Providence requesting that your loved one(s) be enrolled in the prayers of the Sisters. Several types of prayer enrollments are available ranging from requests for healing, to acknowledging special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, births, and graduations, as well as remembrance at the time of death. Regardless of the occasion or sentiment, enrollments promise the thoughts and prayers of the Sisters. A card will be sent to the person(s) of your choice acknowledging your gift to the Sisters. Obituary Notice

Remember your own (or your loved one’s) connection with the Sisters of Divine Providence by including a statement within the obituary notice. Please inform your own next of kin your wishes regarding donations being sent in your memory to the Sisters of Divine Providence. If you are faced with composing an obituary notice for a loved one, you may wish to add the following wording: "In memory of (name of your loved one), the family requests that a donation be made to the Sisters of Divine Providence and sent to the Office of Mission Advancement."

Endowment Fund

An endowment fund may be established with a minimum gift of $10,000 in memory or in honor of a loved one to support the good works of the Sisters of Divine Providence. This type of gift provides a permanent source of funds to support the Sisters’ good works that are meaningful to you and/or the honoree. Please contact your area development office for further guidance.

Engraved Bricks, Trees, Benches

Additional tribute opportunities are available at our Marie de la Roche Province administrative location at Providence Heights in Pittsburgh. Options include pavers ($125) that may be engraved and installed in one of two walkways or granite benches ($800) as well as trees ($750) available through the Adopt-a-Tree Program. Contact your area development office to learn more about these memorials.
