Mission...
Sacred Heart School , a private Catholic institution founded by the Sisters of Divine Providence for the education of young men and woman of southeastern Massachusetts , has the following threefold purpose: to develop and reinforce Gospel values; to provide an academic program which effectively prepares the student for the pursuit of knowledge now, in higher education, and throughout life, and; to develop a community of faith whose members are committed to habits ofresponsible leadership, respect for the dignity of persons, and dedication to service.

 Philosophy.
Sacred Heart School is a Catholic, co-educational, private school in the Archdiocese of Boston, staffed by the Sisters of Divine Providence and lay faculty. As administrators, faculty, and staff, we foster the growth of each student as a complete, human person. We believe that integral to this growth is the development of a faith community rooted in the Gospel and lived in the mission of the Church.

We therefore encourage students to become more aware of their relationship with God and others, to develop their talents and abilities, to fulfill their responsibilities and obligations in the church and world communities, and to strive always for academic and moral excellence.

We believe that character and moral values are taught by example in a climate that is supportive, caring, and just. The community spirit of Sacred Heart School thrives in an atmosphere of intellectual and spiritual development. By developing each student's intellectual curiosity, self-discipline, and creative thinking, we intend to build self-confidence and an appreciation of each person's abilities and accomplishments in a partnership of mutual respect.

Interaction between students, teachers, and parents within the school setting affords an opportunity for each student to experience growth socially and emotionally. In this atmosphere, the individual student will grow in self-respect and acceptance of others. Students are encouraged to see and understand their personal responsibilities within the school and the larger community.

As a college-preparatory high school, Sacred Heart offers a rigorous academic program in a friendly yet competitive environment.  By promoting disciplined study skills and encouraging independent study, the school strives to instill in students a sense of purpose and responsible action towards the campus.  A strong tradition in community service is in practice at all levels, following the example of the founder of the Sisters of Divine Providence, the social justice reformer, Bishop Emmanuel von Kettler.

Over sixty two full-time members of the faculty, approximately 80% hold advanced degrees.  The school and its staff is active n over 25 professional organizations and hold membership in NEASC, NCEA and AISNE .
