Room at the Inn is committed to assisting our homeless neighbors by providing immediate, safe shelter, food and personal items. More importantly, we help clients identify and correct the root causes of their homelessness, in an effort to help clients regain self-sufficiency as quickly as possible and prevent future episodes of homelessness.
Room at the Inn provides emergency shelter for a maximum of 20 people a day. As an emergency shelter, homeless clients typically stay in the program for up to 30 days, with extensions possible if they are waiting for housing and need more time to complete their goals.
Homeless clients come to us through the St. Louis County Homeless Hotline. Upon arrival at our day site in Bridgeton, clients are interviewed to assist them in determining what services are necessary to improve their situation.
Client services include:
Safe, clean, immediate housing
Meals, healthy snacks and kitchen facilities
