La Posada clients. Proyecto Libertad coordinates support for these cases.
In-kind health care services are coordinated with and rendered by several professionals and facilities, including local physicians, a dentist and a pharmacy.
Home health services are rendered by Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Family medical services are rendered by Su Clinica Familiar.
Mental-health and developmentally-disabled services are coordinated through Tropical Texas MHMR.
Served-meal staples are coordinated with and provided at no/low cost through Food Bank of Rio Grande Valley . Local churches share surplus food from events.
Various other health, social services, and financial aid are offered by the Texas Department of Human Services.
La Posada staff coordinates access to the above services, on an as-needed basis.
In addition, and in response to changing demographics, La Posada has combined efforts with Holy Family Birthing Center to handle arriving female clients who are pregnant.
To expand the on-site language assistance and life-skills provided to clients, La Posada uses the public library system in San Benito to take advantage of computer and book resources.
