Pages of Providence Widening Circles of Providence Seldom does one see the hand of Providence in events as they unfold. Time and space are often the precursors of understanding. The Sisters of Divine Providence have been ministering in the United States for more than 125 years. Many wonderful women have devoted their lives to shaping the unique history of this particular religious community. Though people certainly did not set out to create history - their providential acts have been unveiled in a way that makes their lives very important, both to the past and the future of the Sisters of Divine Providence. This semi-fictional account recalls the stories of Sisters who embarked on life-changing journeys, and the pioneer spirit of Providence that led them and has continued to guide the Congregation since 1856.
